Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselor (RADT-1)
I am a counselor who brings authenticity, compassion, and a deeply human approach to the work of recovery. With a background in education and clinical experience in residential treatment, I believe in creating spaces where residents feel safe enough to be themselves during the vulnerable, early stages of healing.
Substance use is not just about behavior, but about lived experiences, unprocessed emotions, and survival. Therefore, I integrate trauma-informed care through a culturally responsive lens, recognizing that identity, environment, and lived experiences all shape a person’s relationship with substances and recovery. I am especially passionate about PTSD and C-PTSD, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Addiction Psychology. I also plan to enroll in additional courses to become certified in trauma therapy, allowing me to be more effective and intentional in my interventions.
My approach emphasizes trust, emotional safety, and meeting clients where they are without judgment or expectation. I encourage individuals to define recovery on their own terms, supporting them in exploring multiple pathways that align with their needs and values.
I strive to balance clinical structure with genuine presence, supporting clients in building self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and reconnecting with a sense of purpose. I am committed to continuous growth in my field and to showing up fully for those navigating the complex and courageous journey of recovery.
